Last updated 20 September 2026. Tem is operated by Four Cents (“Tem”, “we”, “us”).
Tem turns Instagram comments into DMs: when someone comments a keyword on your Reel, Tem sends them a private reply with your link, and shows you what happened after. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights over it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not post, follow, or message anyone on your behalf beyond the automations you explicitly set up.
Only the processors that make Tem work: Meta Platforms (the Instagram API), our hosting provider, Razorpay/Stripe (payments), and Expo (push notifications). Each receives only what its function needs.
Delete everything in one tap: Account, Delete my account and data (app), or Settings, Account (web), or remove Tem under Instagram’s Apps and websites and choose "delete data". Each path erases your account, sessions, Instagram connection and token, automations, DM events including commenters’ usernames and comment text, tracked links and clicks, usage counters and push tokens, immediately. Invoices are retained as tax law requires and no longer link to an account. Status of an Instagram-initiated request: tem.app/data-deletion. We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect Instagram at any time from Instagram’s settings or from Tem — automations stop immediately. You can delete your Tem account and its data by contacting us; connected Instagram access is removed first. We retain minimal records where the law requires.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and similar laws, you can access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent. Email us and we’ll action it.
For requests under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (access, correction, erasure, grievance), write to the same address with "DPDP" in the subject; we answer within the timelines the DPDP Rules set as they come into force (consent framework November 2026, full obligations May 2027). Questions or requests: privacy@tem.app, or via fourcents.ca.
